Clemson University is the beloved “hometown” college of many of our residents at The Cliffs — even for those who aren’t actually Clemson alumni. Our residents adopt the Clemson athletic teams as their home teams and take pride in supporting the university and the charming college town where it resides.
Clemson is conveniently located to The Cliffs: just 15 minutes away from The Cliffs at Keowee Springs and 30-45 minutes from many of our other communities. For families with college-aged children, that means close proximity to campus and easy weekend visits. For adults continuing their education or who are faculty or staff of the university, The Cliffs is an ideal choice.
Go Tigers! Saturdays in the fall, join one of the countless house parties or gatherings at The Cliffs clubs to cheer on the top-ranked Clemson football team, winners of the 2014 Orange Bowl. But Tiger fever doesn’t end with football: The Cliffs residents are passionate about the men and women Tigers in basketball, soccer, golf, tennis and more.
Visit the college town of Clemson to shop for antiques, books and specialty items, perusing the year-round farmers’ market, and tapping in to the town's red-hot food scene, recently boosted even more by Greenville restauranteur Rick Erwin's announcement of a planned new restaurant. The Arts Center of Clemson exhibits and sells works in many media, and the South Carolina Botanical Gardens feature many exhibits and programs. The town and university also play host to many theater and dance performances and musical events throughout the year.
