Built 3,200 feet in the air atop Glassy Mountain, this Cliffs community gives residents awe-inspiring, panoramic views of Blue Ridge foothills and mountains, protected forests and surrounding valleys — for 75 miles or more on the clearest days.
The views are only the beginning. Golfers challenge themselves on a hillside course ranked fourth most scenic in the nation. Gorgeous gathering places invite people to come together to socialize, celebrate or meditate. And our fit and active community embraces wellness while enjoying the beauty of our outdoor settings. All of this is set in a place steeped in local history, and our friendly and welcoming community continues to respect and pay tribute to the heritage of Glassy Mountain.
The Cliffs at Glassy features more than 370 custom-built homes and available homesites, many offering magnificent views of the mountains and valley, and 30% of which are set on the golf course.
South Carolina’s only mountaintop golf course, the Glassy Golf Course sits 3,000 feet above sea level, with majestic 50-mile views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course has been ranked fourth most scenic in the nation — only Cypress Point, Pebble Beach and Augusta National outrank it. The course features bentgrass tees, greens and fairways, and requires precise drives as players navigate elevation changes, slopes and ravines throughout the course.
“As we drove up the mountain for the first time, we were just blown away by the beauty and the views. As we learned more, we felt the Cliffs lifestyle was exactly what we were looking for. And we also loved the proximity to Charlotte.”
