The PGA Tour Returns to The Cliffs in 2018 with the BMW Charity Pro-Am

Mark your calendars for May 17-20, 2018, when the PGA Tour web.com BMW Charity Pro-Am Presented by SYNNEX Corporation returns to The Cliffs Valley!

The Cliffs proudly hosted this Tour event in years past and we are thrilled to welcome the BMW Charity Pro-Am back to The Cliffs Valley in 2018.

The first American course designed by world-renowned golf commentator Ben Wright, The Cliffs Valley has been a member-favorite since its opening in 1995. This nationally-acclaimed, parkland-style course follows the natural contours and elevation changes of its picturesque setting, challenging members to play over and around streams, ponds and rolling hills. Just last year, The Cliffs Valley course underwent nearly $500,000 in enhancements, including the conversion of all putting surfaces to Champion Bermudagrass, as well as the addition of one fairway bunker, one greenside bunker and the expansion of two fairway bunkers.

The Cliffs 2017 Renovations

Not only is this four-day tournament bringing competitive Tour professionals, world-renowned celebrities and amateur golfers to The Cliffs Valley, the BMW Charity Pro-Am raises money and awareness for South Carolina charities. Since 2001, the tournament has distributed more than $12.7 million to more than 200 charities, and we are delighted to share that Cliffs Residents Outreach has been selected among the beneficiaries for 2018.

Cliffs Residents Outreach (CRO) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, 100% volunteer organization comprised of members from The Cliffs’ six South Carolina communities. CRO is dedicated to enabling Upstate children to succeed by focusing on literacy, nutrition and mentoring for kids in Greenville, Pickens and Oconee counties. In 2017, CRO equipped over 5,000 children from early childhood through college for success by raising over $500,000 and donating 18,000 volunteer hours. You may support CRO by volunteering at the BMW Charity Pro-Am, playing in the tournament or purchasing tickets when they go live Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

Stay tuned for additional information on teams, volunteer opportunities and tickets.
