NCAA Selects The Cliffs for Men’s Golf East Regional

Hot off the heels of the 2017 Clemson Invitational at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls, we are thrilled to announce that Keowee Falls, in partnership with the Clemson Men’s Golf team, has been selected to host the NCAA Men’s Division I Golf Regional Championship May 18-20, 2020.

We are exceedingly proud to have been selected as hosts for one of just six regional NCAA Men’s Div. I Golf Regional Championships and are thrilled at the opportunity to welcome some of the country’s greatest young golfers to The Cliffs.

News of the selection came just after Clemson defended their championship title at the 2nd Annual Clemson Invitational at Keowee Falls.

“This has been a long time coming,” said Clemson Men’s Golf Head Coach Larry Penley, who is in his 34th year as head coach. “When we started the Clemson Invitational we hoped it would show the NCAA committee that we could host a regional at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls. The staff there has done a great job and so has our staff at Clemson. It is good for golf in the state of South Carolina and of course for our program. If you are selected to the tournament and you are a host school, then you play at home.”

Clemson has played in the NCAA Regional every year since the regional format began in 1989 and we are thrilled to welcome the Tigers and NCAA golfers from around the country to The Cliffs at Keowee Falls in 2020!
