The Cliffs is a collection of seven private mountain and lake communities set across more than 20,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. With one membership, members enjoy access to a wide range of experiences—from golf, wellness, and outdoor pursuits to dining, social gatherings, and time on the water.
Spanning three distinct regions—from the shores of Lake Keowee near Clemson, South Carolina to the mountains of Greenville and Asheville—each community offers its own setting while remaining connected through a shared experience. Four mild seasons create a natural rhythm for year-round living shaped by both the landscape and the lifestyle.

Founded in 1991, The Cliffs has grown into a collection of seven master-planned communities shaped by a vision for exceptional mountain and lake living. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, the club expanded with golf courses designed by renowned architects including Gary Player, Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Jackson, and Ben Wright.
Over the years, The Cliffs has earned recognition among the best residential golf communities in North America, with accolades from organizations such as Golfweek, Golf Magazine, and Real Estate Scorecard.
In 2019, The Cliffs entered its next chapter with the acquisition by South Street Partners, bringing renewed investment and a continued focus on long-term growth and experience. Today, that momentum continues with The Cliffs at Walnut Cove serving as host of the 2026 PGA TOUR event, further reinforcing its place on the national stage.
