The National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) recognized The Cliffs’ Event Team—represented by Glassy General Manager Mary Painter and Private Events Manager Tabatha Cantrell—with top honors during the NACE Experience! 2016 Conference and Expo recently held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
NACE honored The Cliffs team with the 2016 NACE Award for the Industry’s Best Table Presentation of the Year for its Ladies Member-Guest Golf Tournament Luncheon Rubies on the Green.
The 2016 Ladies Member-Guest Golf Tournament theme, “If The Shoe Fits,” was incorporated throughout the entire three=day event. With golf being the primary event, the team hosted a luncheon dubbed “Rubies on the Green” that incorporated Dorothy’s iconic ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. The event team crafted hand-made ruby slippers for each table with a candy apple at each place setting with a unique quote from the film and popcorn.
The “Table Presentation of the Year” award recognizes outstanding design and décor for an event table and The Cliffs’ Rubies on the Green tablescape was up against stiff competition, competing against the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Caesars Palace and the International School of Hospitality.
In 2015, The Cliffs Event Team won the NACE Award for Best Team Event of the Year and the 2015 NACE Award for Best Social Event Production of the Year.
