The Cliffs Preferred Builder Alair Homes Celebrates Lasting Success Under New Name

On Monday, June 24, 2019, Colby Hubble, owner of Alair Homes of Greenville, bypassed the traditional gilded shovels and presented an excavator during a ceremonial groundbreaking for future homeowners at The Cliffs at Keowee Springs. Once construction begins on the Harrer family home, the property will be the fourth open Alair Homes project within The Cliffs. Next on the horizon is the second anniversary of Alair Homes of Greenville, as Hubble took on the franchise name in August 2017. Hubble’s legacy of impeccable homebuilding does not begin with the name change, however, as he has been in the construction industry for nearly 20 years, and a Preferred Builder of The Cliffs for nearly 10.

Colby Hubble started his construction business in 2001 in his native state, Texas. In 2007, he relocated to the Upstate of South Carolina with his wife Mindy to raise their family. Colby explains that, the year prior to relocating, he and his wife visited his parents in Greenville. They fell in love with the tight-knit community that embodies the area and decided it was the right place to raise their children.

Colby HubbleWith experience in high-end homebuilding, Hubble immediately established himself locally working for The Cliffs until 2011, when he relaunched his own business as The Hubble Group. The relationship between Hubble and The Cliffs continued, as his new firm was contracted to complete the Beach Club at The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, among other projects. As a Preferred Builder of The Cliffs, The Hubble Group worked with families across all seven communities of The Cliffs to design and build luxury homes that complement their surroundings. The firm’s excellence in client management, construction, and relationship building led to its reputation as a first-class builder. By 2017, The Hubble Group’s success and reputation caught the eye of Alair Homes, which was searching the Greenville market for a well-established builder to take its name. Established in 2012 and headquartered in British Columbia, Alair canvasses more than 110 markets across Canada and the United States.

Hubble explains his decision to accept the franchise offer from Alair Homes, stating, “When Alair approached me about potentially working together I realized we were kindred spirits. We both understood the residential construction industry required contractors that are transparent and accountable. My clients know they always get the best of everything I can deliver for them and when I investigated what Alair could do for us, I knew this was going to be a major upgrade for everyone I work with in the future.”

With a focus on client satisfaction, Alair dedicates time to listening to clients, learning about them, and together, figuring out how to bring their visions of the perfect home to life.

With the second anniversary of the new identity on the horizon, a portfolio of beautiful homes under construction and nearing completion, and happy clients who refer to him as family, it is obvious that the relationship is working.
