The Cliffs

Natural Wonder, Small Town Charm

The Golden Corner

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains lies Lake Keowee, a shimmering waterway boasting 300 miles of pristine shoreline on 18,500 acres. But the enjoyment stretches beyond the shores of the lake. Surrounding Lake Keowee is South Carolina’s “Golden Corner” — the charming destinations of Seneca, Pickens, Walhalla and Clemson, as well as dazzling neighbors Lakes Jocassee and Hartwell.

SPARKLING IN EVERY REGARD

South Carolina’s Mountain Lakes

Lake Keowee and its neighboring Jocassee are widely regarded as the cleanest in the region. And there’s room to spread out — Keowee is 26 miles long, 3 miles at its widest and has a shoreline measured at 300 miles. That shoreline is an endless series of nooks and crannies where residences are tucked along the forested shores.

The Town of Clemson

The winding main street of tiny Clemson is always bustling. There is dining both fine and casual, shopping for antiques, books and specialty items, and a popular farmer’s market. The Arts Center of Clemson exhibits and sells works in many media, and the South Carolina Botanical Gardens is truly spectacular. Theater, dance and musical performances draw crowds year round.

CLEMSON

Athletics

On Saturdays in the fall, there are plenty of house parties and gatherings around The Cliffs’ three Lake Keowee communities to cheer on the top-ranked Clemson Tigers (2016 National Football Champions). But Tiger fever doesn’t end with football: The Cliffs’ residents are passionate for Tiger basketball, soccer, golf and tennis.
