Our local mountain lakes may be playgrounds open available for all to enjoy, but at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls we’ve carved out 20 miles of Lake Keowee shoreline that belongs exclusively to our residents. In fact, this community is a natural nirvana, where residents can roam 2,500 acres of dense forests, cascading waterfalls, fields of rare Oconee Bells, and the banks of a crystal-clear mountain lake… all without venturing outside the gates.
Perched high atop the most dramatic point in the community is the Falls Clubhouse, offering sweeping views of Falls Creek and the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Design Golf Course, named one of Golf Magazine’s “Top 10 New Private Course”' upon its debut. No homes are located on this sprawling course, giving golfers the experience of playing in a bountiful wild woodland.
Named for Falls Creek, which winds its way through seven holes, the 160-acre Jack Nicklaus golf course at Keowee Falls stretches across mountainous terrain with numerous elevation changes, tree-lined fairways, streams, ponds and lengthy par 3s, all surrounded by woods and wildflowers.
The grand, 28,000-square foot Clubhouse features turn-of-the-century architecture with an Adirondack influence. The expansive porch beckons you to stay awhile, enjoying fireside meals with sweeping views of Falls Creek and more than half of the course’s 18 holes. Inside, the dining room provides a view of the sunset as you dine on Blue Ridge cuisine with a creative flair—think crispy-skinned duck served aside a sweet potato puree and fried brussels sprouts.
A short walk or golf cart ride from the Clubhouse, you'll find The Cliffs at Keowee Falls' new sports, activity and wellness park. The Wellness Center at the Park features a heated, resort-style zero-entry pool, as well as strength-training equipment, cable training station and an ample free weight area. Fit in a satisfying workout in our cardio area with treadmills, spin bikes, elliptical trainers and a recumbent bike. Tennis lovers can play into the evening on our four lighted, Har-Tru tennis courts. Members can also enjoy spa services including massages, facials, body wraps or reiki.
Ten miles of nature trails from leisurely to strenuous wind throughout Keowee Falls, traversing along babbling creeks and past the community’s titular Falls. Pack your poles and enjoy a morning of fishing, or kick your feet up and relish in a mid-hike picnic lunch while you relax in awe of the beauty of Lake Keowee.
If you prefer to stay indoors, you’ll find yourself fast friends with warm and welcoming neighbors in this active, social community. Join your fellow members for a group hike, game of trivia at the Clubhouse, or weekly Falls Feature Menu Night, when Chef Shawn prepares a dazzling themed meal—you might just enjoy American diner classics one week and delectable French cuisine or captivating Chinese dishes the next.
Hand select a homesite on which to build the house of your dreams, or purchase a home already available. Homesites, starting in the $100,000s, offer waterfront access or elevated views of Lake Keowee and the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains beyond. If you’d rather buy than build, homes start at $700.000 and you’re certain to find the home that suits you and your family.
