The Cliffs Valley
Members gathered at The Cliffs Valley Clubhouse early in October for the community’s annual Oktoberfest celebration. The event, steeped in both fall festivity and German culture, brought members from all communities at The Cliffs together to enjoy lively cultural events, delicious beverages, and a special event menu curated by Chef Tournant Justin Remo.
The event featured Biergarten-style seating, perfect for dining on the traditional German cuisine prepared and served by the Valley culinary team. Coupled with the menu, The Foothills Oompah Band led members in song and dance all evening, with German sing-along songs, yodeling, and a special dance hit among attendees, the chicken dance.
Perhaps the most memorable portion of the evening, however, was the beer stein-holding contest. Members gathered to see who could hold their authentic German beer stein the longest, leading to many laughs and healthy competition among attendees before the champion was crowned.
Evenings like these bring the spirit of The Cliffs alive with music, celebration, and a shared sense of community amongst neighbors and friends, rooting them to this special place. Valley looks forward to hosting Oktoberfest again next year, hoping to fill another evening with warmth, camaraderie, and community for all attendees to enjoy.
