Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, we enjoy fall colors set against breathtaking backdrops that somehow add to the view. Find the Best Places for Fall Foliage

In the areas around our communities, leaf peeping is typically best between mid- to late-October. The fall colors are at their peak and are ideal for viewing. Explore your favorite trail to witness the changing colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains as you are enveloped in the famous blue haze. Then you can appreciate why this is considered one of the best places to view fall foliage. 

Take Part in Community Events

There’s no shortage of outdoor events in our community this time of year, making the most of the cool weather and beautiful colors. Experience guided hikes to see the changing colors, golf tournaments that encourage camaraderie, and mouth-watering food and wine events that incorporate the seasons’ bounty. Get into the Game Day Spirit

There is a tradition of tailgating in our communities, and you can often find football fans enjoying a bite to eat and a drink at our beautiful clubhouses. Because our lake communities are located near Clemson, South Carolina, many of our members are either new or generations-old fans of the Clemson Tigers. Buy tickets to the game to see the action up close or invite your friends over for a day of football and a backyard get-together. 

Decorate Your Luxury Home for Fall

As the seasons change, so should your decor. Bring fall into your space by changing up your summer decor and bringing in new autumnal elements into your space. Fall colors can be incorporated into the decor in subtle ways such as orange, maroon, and dark yellow. Soft linens, large candles, and dried floral wreaths make the space feel like it’s in season.

Plant Spring Bulbs Now

Ideally, spring gardens should be planned during the fall. You can ensure a beautiful spring display by planting bulbs of your favorite flower varieties. Among the beautiful blooms to consider for your outdoor space are fritatalaria, daffodils, hyacinth, allium, crocus, bluebells, snowdrops, and tulips. Decide on a spot in your garden that could use some color, then plant the bulbs upright and give them a good soak to set. For best results, wait to fertilize until the spring, just after the bulbs have started to flower. 

Spend a Day Fishing on Lake Keowee

The changing colors of the leaves, the mountain peaks in the distance, and the shimmering waters of Lake Keowee make for one spectacular fall view. Because the temperatures are cooler, the fish are more active now as they prepare for the cold temperatures ahead, so take your fishing rod out and set yourself up for a great catch! Fish found in Lake Keowee include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, spotted bass, catfish, and trout of various types.
