The Cliffs at Mountain Park welcomed members from all seven communities for a day of rock n’ roll, flower power, and groovy vibes.
This year’s theme, based loosely around Woodstock–the arts and music festival of 1969–brought over 800 members from all communities at The Cliffs to The Village at Mountain Park to explore local vendors, stilt walkers, live statues, delicious cuisine from The Mountain Region’s culinary team, and an epic musical performance.
LIVE MUSIC
The event was headlined by The Main Squeeze–a multicultural five-piece band from Los Angeles, CA. The Main Squeeze has built a devoted following while on tour as they’ve put rubber to pavement and played over 1,000 shows together over the past nine years. For a group of men with completely different backgrounds, tastes, religions, and opinions, there’s still a spirit shared among them when they sit down to play together.
Supporting The Main Squeeze, Ty Olson and the Funky Buddha out of Greenville, SC, took the stage and opened the evening. This modern-rock band has a funk sound incorporating influences from Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Their opening set got the crowd out of their seats with throwback covers the crowd sang along to.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
The Cliffs culinary teams prepared festival favorites that catered to the likes and preferences of many. Everything from turkey legs to street corn and smash burgers to banana pudding, the menu was savored by the masses.
Crafted with precision, The Cliffs partnered with local Double Stamp Brewery to release a new beer, Blue Veil Pilsner. Festival-goers got their first taste of crisp notes of citrus and a harmonious blend of hops at Cliffstock where the beer was released. Blue Veil Pilsner may be found in our South Carolina clubs.
FUN & GAMES
Although the food and music were the main attractions, the festival vendors, stilt walkers, live statues, and retro Volkswagon bus photo booth all added to the fun! The photos, flower crowns, and gift bags also served as the perfect takeaway for guests to relive their memorable night at Cliffstock.
