Introducing a New Design at The Cabin at The Cliffs at Mountain Park

At The Cliffs, we are committed to continuously improving our communities and facilities to enhance the quality of life of our members. One of our major initiatives was the renovation and expansion of The Cabin at Mountain Park. During this large-scale project, the space was transformed to host larger social activities and events for years to come.

The Goal

The Cabin at Mountain Park has always provided true mountain charm to the community –– making it a favorite gathering spot at The Cliffs. With its characteristic wrap-around veranda that reminds members to take it easy and appreciate the scenic views, a fire pit for enjoying cool evenings surrounded by friends, fine dining opportunities, shopping, and more, this facility invites members to come together and make the most of their life at The Cliffs.

The main goal of the project was to maintain The Cabin’s rustic aesthetic while doubling its interior and exterior dining space, making it even more functional for members. This required Trehel Corporation, the building firm for the project, to come up with some creative solutions. Let’s learn more about the expansion process and the new additions to the facility. 

The New Facilities

Because much of the old building was demolished by hand, many of the materials were salvaged for reuse which allowed the style to remain true to the original design. For example, the wood ceiling on the patio was disassembled so it could be constructed with the original design’s integrity. Any of the new materials that were added to the project were closely matched to the old ones. Not only did this make the project more environmentally friendly, but it also unified the previous design with the new design.   

Keeping the same charm as the original venue, The Cabin’s enhancements include doubling the size of the main dining room and outdoor patio area and the addition of an intimate space for private parties. To accommodate the larger parties, an expanded kitchen and back-of-house space were also added. Also, improvements were made to the locker facilities, and the golf shop was enhanced to offer a greater variety of equipment and gear.
