There may not be a more scenic, lively and flat-out fun place to live than here, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Cliffs’ seven mountain and lake communities are surrounded by small-town gems and vibrant cities alike. One such fabulous nearby city is charming Greenville, SC, offering down-home hospitality and charm with all the culture, convenience and style of a big-city destination.

With all its bustling buildings and beautiful parks, buzzworthy food scene, charming coffee shops and much, much more, we know what makes nearby Greenville so great… and the rest of the world is catching on!

The Wall Street Journal recently included Greenville in its list of ten “Buzzy, Newly Accessible Destinations.” From the Canadian Arctic to Chengdu, China, Abu Dhabi to St. Kitts, the list includes some incredible destinations, with Greenville being the only U.S. destination to make the cut.

Here’s what they had to say about Greenville:

The stars have aligned to make this Southern belle, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Dream Town, USA: Lots of investment—by Michelin, BMW, Mitsubishi—has ushered in international flair; the city’s become a hub for the tech community; the thriving food scene includes some 120 restaurants along the tree-lined Main Street; a couple of historic districts are admirably preserved; and the NCAA chose Greenville as the new host for the 2017 men’s basketball tournament.

While we’re not surprised, we’re certainly honored to have this great nearby gem—located just 30 minutes from The Cliffs at Mountain Park, Valley and Glassy, and not much farther from the rest of our seven communities—recognized among some of the greatest cities in the world.
