Introducing Sommelier Alexandra Hackett

Red, white, or sparkling?  The newest addition to The Cliffs family can help you discover your newest favorite wine. Alexandra Hackett, Senior Beverage & Service Director, joins with The Cliffs with over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry serving in various progressive roles in the Food & Beverage arena. Just recently she served as the Area Manager and Beverage Director for 7 of the Rick Erwin area restaurants. Prior to working with the Rick Erwin group, Alexandra served as the General Manager and Sommelier of Devereaux’s restaurant which is part of the Table 301 Restaurant Group in Greenville.

Alexandra is a Certified Sommelier, receiving her certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2010. She also received a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of Charleston. Alexandra moved to Greenville in 2007 from Charleston, SC. While she spends much of her time focused on her career goals as a leader, in her free time she enjoys time with her husband, Jason of 11 years, their son, Xavier age 7 and their Corgi puppy, Violet. Alexandra also enjoys festivals especially those centered around wine and dining at all the wonderful restaurants that the Upstate has to offer.

Alexandra will run the Wine Consortium program at The Cliffs, which offers our members the ability to utilize our considerable buying power to purchase great wines at a tremendous value. Additionally, she will be working with the Food & Beverage teams at each of our communities to support them with training and educational opportunities, as well as serving as the catalyst for best practices in Food & Beverage service.
