In the center of downtown is the well-known Falls Park on the Reedy. The rushing waterfall that flows through the park is surrounded by well-kept gardens, walking trails, and the famous Liberty Bridge.   

Also nearby are a number of state parks, including Paris Mountain State Park with camping, hiking and biking trails that make their way along the four lakes found in the historic park. 

Another option is Jones Gap State Park, with more than 60 miles of hiking trails that connect the park with the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area. This park is well-known for its trout fishing in the Middle Saluda River which flows through the park. Located near the scenic Highway 11 is Table Rock State Park, a popular destination for even more outdoor activities.
