The Asheville Region

Conveniently located near the artistic city of Asheville, The Asheville Region at The Cliffs marries mountain living and urban life. From unique art galleries, exclusive boutiques and fine-dining options, to protected National Forests and State Parks, everything you could ever want out of life in the Carolina mountains is a just a short drive from our gates. 

The Cliffs at Walnut Cove

Just twenty minutes from downtown Asheville, The Cliffs at Walnut Cove is a luxury community surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. With a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, state-of-the-art wellness center and beautiful clubhouse, members will have no problem finding a way to stay active at Walnut Cove. There are also miles of pet-friendly walking trails for residents to explore the scenic valley where this community rests. 

The Mountain Region

Found at the geographic center of The Cliffs, The Mountain Region grants members easy access to all of the amenities that come when you become a part of The Cliffs. 

This region is characterized by the natural splendor of the Western Carolinas: soaring mountains, lush valleys and sparkling streams around every corner. From here, you are also easily connected to a number of charming mountain towns along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. The Mountain region has three communities to choose from. Let’s take a closer look at each one. 

The Cliffs at Glassy

The Cliffs at Glassy is where it all began. This founding community is perched at the peak of Glassy Mountain, granting members panoramic views of the mountains below. On a clear day, the views from the Overlook Pavilion and Glassy Chapel span for 75 miles!

Golf enthusiasts can make their way through the mountain course, designed by Tom Jackson, which displays one of the most scenic holes in America. Nearby, the impressive clubhouse at The Cliffs at Glassy highlights the views with extravagant walls of windows, making it a perfect gathering spot for social dinners and private events. At the wellness center, members can enjoy an Olympic-sized swimming pool, sport courts and private or group fitness classes. This tight-knit community takes full advantage of the many private social clubs and events offered at The Cliffs. 

The Cliffs at Mountain Park 

As the name would suggest, The Cliffs at Mountain Park is surrounded by 2,000 acres of natural parkland. Characterized by endless miles of hiking trails, mountain biking paths and secluded fishing spots, members can experience the mountains in their full splendor from the comfort of their own backyard. 

This community is also home to a nationally-acclaimed links-style golf course. Designed by Gary Player to blend in seamlessly with the landscape, its walkable design makes it an enjoyable place to play year round. Such a rustic golf course called for a matching clubhouse and The Cabin at Mountain Park provides that rugged charm. Here, members can enjoy fine dining, a long bar and a wrap-around porch.

The Cliffs Valley

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Cliffs Valley is well connected with quaint mountain towns, such as Hendersonville and Greenville. This community is also known for its thriving activity clubs, making it easy to connect with other members at The Cliffs. 

If golf is your passion, you’ll enjoy the parkland-style golf course. This scenic course offers players a fun challenge, as they do their best to avoid the streams and ponds around every hole. Designer Ben Wright used the slight elevation changes of the natural landscape to add interest to the design, while still managing to keep the course walkable. Nearby, there is also the grand, 28,000 square-foot clubhouse and stunning wellness center that offer additional ways to stay active at The Cliffs.

The Lake Region

In The Lake Region at The Cliffs, lake living meets mountain life. Located near the spectacular Lake Keowee in Upstate South Carolina, this 18,500-acre lake makes it easy to enjoy a number of thrilling water sports with views of the rolling mountains in the background.

The Cliffs at Keowee Falls

A luxury community with both private wooded forests and sandy beaches along the lake, The Cliffs at Keowee Falls is a natural nirvana just waiting to be explored. Within the gates are 10 miles of private nature trails, along with endless boating opportunities.

The award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course consists of 160-acres of dramatic elevation changes and tree-lined fairways. With seven of the holes along Falls Creek, players will have to do their best to avoid the streams and ponds as they play. 

After a round of golf, members can visit the Adirondack-style clubhouse that houses a retail shop and restaurant. The wellness center includes everything from heated resort-style pools to Har-Tru tennis courts.

The Cliffs at Keowee Springs

Designed with the kids in mind, The Cliffs at Keowee Springs if filled with family-friendly fun! Members can boat right up to the Keowee Springs Beach Club with winding water slides, diving boards and a grille. Here, our Outdoor Pursuits team has created a watersports program that guides you as you prepare for your next adventure on the water. Down by the shore is our Surf Shop with paddleboarding, kayaking. and boating opportunities for our exclusive members.

Even the Tom Fazio Signature golf course was designed in such a way that makes it ideal for young golfers who are just starting to learn the game. With three loops of six holes and a set of family tees, there are many options for play that make it possible to get out on the green, even if you’re pressed for time.

The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards

The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards has it all: dazzling views of both the mountains and lake, an award-winning golf course, a stately clubhouse and exceptional wellness facilities, all draped by native muscadine grapes that wind through the community grounds. There is also a full-service marina, ideal for boat storage and watersport equipment rentals. 

One of our members’ favorite premier golf courses, golf at Keowee Vineyards is characterized by waterfront play. With eight holes along the shores of Lake Keowee, Tom Fazio hand crafted this course to showcase both the shimmering water and panoramic vistas of the blue-tones mountains. 

Members can also take advantage of the clubhouse to gather with friends and family for a meal from our al fresco pizza kitchen or try out the new Lakehouse, which features an open-air pavilion, indoor dining room, and bar. Closeby is the wellness center with individual or group fitness classes, sizable swimming pools and lighted tennis courts that make it possible to play late into the evening. In addition, the luxury community at Keowee Vineyards houses a lovely equestrian center, with easy access to over 200 miles of wooded riding trails that make their way through the Jocassee Gorges. 

Club Membership

Once you find your property at one of the seven communities at The Cliffs, you will want to consider becoming an exclusive club member. This membership allows you to take full advantage of life at your new luxury community.

There are two levels of membership to choose from. The golf membership is the highest level of membership, made specifically for golfers and their families who are passionate about the game and all that club life has to offer. In addition to access to all seven golf courses, golf members can enjoy all of the wellness amenities, too. On the other hand, if you choose the active membership you have limited access to the world-class golf experience at The Cliffs, but full access to all wellness amenities throughout each of our three regions.
