South Carolina’s only mountaintop golf course, the Glassy Golf Course sits 3,000 feet above sea level, with majestic 50-mile views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course has been ranked fourth most scenic in the nation by Golf Digest, behind Cypress Point, Pebble Beach and Augusta National — and when you arrive at our signature 13th hole with miraculous views, you'll see why. The course features bentgrass tees, greens and fairways, and requires precise drives as players navigate elevation changes, slopes and ravines throughout the course.

“As a golf course designer every project is a new and exciting challenge. For me, The Cliffs at Glassy took the word challenge to higher level. From my initial visit to the mountain, I knew we had been given a special opportunity to create a world-class golf experience in South Carolina."
Tom Jackson, a 2007 inductee into the Carolinas Golf Hall of Fame, received his training from two of the country’s leading golf course architects, Robert Trent Jones and George Cobb. Since then, he has helped build more than 124 courses across the nation. Jackson’s training from two of the country’s leading golf course architects helped him produce a truly breathtaking course on top of Glassy Mountain, an area that could not have been tamed by many course designers.
The 23,000-square-foot Glassy Clubhouse offers fine, casual and al fresco dining overlooking the mountaintop Glassy golf course. For a more relaxed environment, members can enjoy the grille lounge. The club provides convenient access to freshly cut meats, baked goods, wine and other goods.
