The accolades started the day The Cliffs finished rolling the greens for the first time. WorldGolf.com weighed in – “One of the most versatile designs in Fazio’s award-winning repertoire.” Golfweek and Golf Digest chimed in just days later. This is one of Fazio’s best and one of two at The Cliffs, where we’re proud to have his family as members. There are three approachable loops of six holes and a set of family tees, designed to play six or 12 holes when time is tight (such as when you’ve got a date with some water skis later in the day).
A course with the family in mind — you all have your tees, from 4,600 – 7,200 yards.
72. Simple enough if you play eighteen. But handicaps are going to come into play if you’re looping six or twelve holes.
From the front, just 106/62.9, but Fazio and our greenskeepers make things progressively more interesting at the tips… 142/75.5.

Tom Fazio made a second indelible mark for The Cliffs with his course at Keowee Springs, and in so doing, took a major step in designing how the game is played.
Among a dozen or so where Keowee Springs took high honors is an esteemed ‘Best of the Best’ from Robb Report Magazine.
This is the largest practice facility at The Cliffs, one that includes a 6.5 acre driving range, an acre of practice tees and two short game greens with another putting green totaling over 18,000 square feet.
The ladies golf group at Keowee Springs take to a course designed with them in mind – time constrained, or, who maybe after six are ready for lunch. They’re accepting applications. If you swing the other way, try the Mac-Daddies.
One of the joys of a private golf club is that even the amenities have amenities. And the best offer food and beverages. And so after six holes at the Springs, you have a hankering for a little nibble. There’s The Bistro. Six holes later, whether the round has been good or bad, perhaps a beverage will improve your outlook for the last six? Or, call it a day.

From warm spring afternoons through balmy summer evenings and late into the fall, members love gathering at the Keowee Springs Bistro, a casual take on the traditional golf clubhouse, or the Porch, a hybrid retail shop, wellness boutique and watering hole.
A hot spot for a snack after six, lunch at 12 or a round of drinks after a round, one thing is certain: The Bistro at Keowee Springs is not the golf clubhouse of days gone by. In fact, it’s ever evolving to meet the needs of this vibrant, family-friendly community — The Bistro was renovated in 2018 to double dining room seating, add a bar and create additional outdoor seating, all offering fresh fare and Southern favorites.
That’s not a slice. It’s a power fade!
“The challenging 16th is the only hole that moves significantly left to right off the tee. You have to be cautious with your tee shot and avoid the large bunker complex left of the fairway that tends to come into play … that is if you know how to draw the ball. The right side of the fairway also has a bunker that can catch a well-struck tee shot making its way through the fairway. Your second shot is typically going to be a mid- to long-iron into a well-protected green with a collection of three bunkers short and short left. Par is certainly your friend here.”
