Three Unique Events Honoring America’s Birthday
At The Cliffs, we celebrated Independence Day in style. Here’s a spotlight on three events that took place in our communities.
Freedom Feast at Mountain Park
Celebrations kicked off the holiday at Freedom Feast, Mountain Park’s annual tradition. This family-friendly event featured a delightful array of food, a watermelon eating contest, face painting, a dunk tank, and activities for all ages. Members and guests savored delicious cuisine while enjoying the stunning views of Mountain Park. The evening culminated in a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky in a dazzling tribute to our nation’s independence.
Fun-Filled Fourth at Keowee Falls
For those looking for a day packed with activities, the Fun-Filled Fourth at Keowee Falls was the place to be. This kids-centered event had games and activities like a water slide, kid-friendly ax throwing, hula hooping, and the annual cornhole tournament. The festivities continued with a variety of food for everyone to enjoy.
Liberty Fest at Keowee Vineyards
Excitement and anticipation were enjoyed by all who attended Liberty Fest at Keowee Vineyards. This event was held at the newly opened Simmer ‘71 at the Lakehouse and featured holiday favorites like hamburgers, hotdogs, and macaroni and cheese. There were activities like bocce ball and cornhole, ensuring fun for the whole family. As it got dark, members were surprised with an environmentally-responsible grand laser light show reflecting off sparkling Lake Keowee–a fitting end to a day of celebration and community, and most importantly, without disruption or contamination of the natural species in the lake.
