During the summer months, Keowee Vineyards Lakehouse is a favorite amenity of our members. This amenity is open seasonally from around Memorial Day to Labor Day and offers a casual way for members to enjoy the warmer weather. Members get together with friends for dinner or drive their boats up to the Tacklebox Concert Series, which features live music and a picnic dinner they can enjoy on their boat or the lawn. 

The exterior of the Lakehouse blends perfectly with the neighboring residences and surrounding natural environment. The building incorporates pine, cedar, natural stone, and painted siding, all giving it an opulent feel. The surrounding landscape displays ample native plants from the Upstate region, adding a natural touch that complements the building’s structure.

The interior of the building continues to impress with its spacious indoor dining room and adjacent open-air pavilion—fit for dining or entertainment. The pavilion is also equipped with wood screen walls that are easily opened or closed, allowing for a customizable atmosphere in any weather condition. The Lakehouse perfectly encapsulates what it is like to live in a mountainous lake region.

New Restaurant: Simmer ‘71 at the Lakehouse

Simmer ‘71 is a brand new dining concept at the Lakehouse. It is open from Memorial Day through the end of summer and serves a BBQ-inspired menu featuring a mouthwatering blend of sweet and spicy flavors. The restaurant pays homage to the 1971 birth of Lake Keowee, which formed a picturesque peninsula that the Lakehouse now calls home.

Patrons of Simmer ‘71 can expect to find classic BBQ dishes with a modern twist. The kitchen also serves delectable appetizers, salads, bowls, and sweet treats such as coke floats, milkshakes, banana pudding, and soft-serve ice cream. Those needing an adult beverage on a warm summer day can order refreshing cocktails, fine wines, or an ice-cold beer on the patio to round out a perfect summer dining experience. 

Golf at Keowee Vineyards

The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards offers a truly unique golf experience. Here, you will find yourself between tree-lined fairways and navigating the ravines and coves that tuck in from the lake. The course offers 8 spectacular holes overlooking Lake Keowee, with almost every tee box and green showcasing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

The Keowee Vineyards practice facilities are set back from the course and serve as an oasis for those looking to work on their game. Five holes also run along the Sumter National Forest, giving the course a tremendous nature-focused atmosphere. With all these fantastic course features, it’s no surprise that course architect Tom Fazio calls the par 3 17th hole “the most picturesque in the state of South Carolina.”
